Lemon Slug

Scientific Name: Malacolimax tenellus

Body Colour: Bright Yellow to light brown

Size: 3.5-5cm

Habitat: This species is exclusively found in long-established woodland, both broad-leaved and coniferous.

Pest Status: Not considered a pest. Feeds solely on woodland fungi.

Extra Information: Tentacles and head are brown or black. Indistinct brown bands can rarely be observed on mantle, however this slug normally has no markings. The mucus is lightly tinged yellow or orange.
